Exploration ESG
Management
Challenge
Exploration companies must navigate both formal permissions and informal social dynamics to gain access to land, and must sustain trust through consistent communication across teams, contractors, and consultants.
Approach
Through internal diagnostics and stakeholder engagement, standalone strategies were developed for both water stewardship and biodiversity management. Expert consultations, external audits, and collaborative design with government and conservation stakeholders guided the planning.
Solution
The ESG guidebook offered practical and scalable direction for responsible exploration. It was comprehensive enough to meet public and stakeholder expectations, scalable to projects of all sizes, flexible across varied cultural, legal, and environmental contexts.
Outcome
These frameworks were applied successfully in Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Mali & Ghana, to facilitate transparent community entry processes and alignment with local governance structures, helping build early-stage trust.
