1. Purpose

OneWorld Sustainability Consult is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity in our business practices. This Code of Ethics/Conduct outlines our expectations for employees, contractors, and partners. This code is aligned with the Ghana Labour Act, International Labour Organisation Conventions, and relevant industry frameworks.

  • Integrity: Act with integrity, honesty, and transparency in all interactions.

  • Professionalism: Maintain professional standards in our work and interactions.

  • Confidentiality: Protect confidential information and maintain client confidentiality.

  • Respect: Treat others with respect, dignity, and fairness.

  • Accountability: Take responsibility for our actions and decisions.
    - Inclusivity: promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and avoid discriminatory practices.
    - Anti-corruption: uphold zero tolerance for all forms of bribery, extortion, or corruption.

3. Expectations

  • Compliance with laws and regulations: Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Conflict of interest: Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential conflicts.

  • Gifts and hospitality: Refuse gifts or hospitality that could influence our judgment or create a conflict of interest.

  • Confidentiality and data protection: Protect confidential information and personal data.

  • Reporting unethical behavior: Report any unethical behavior or concerns to management or HR.
    - Use of company resources: ensure company resources are used responsibly and only for legitimate business purposes.
    - Respect for human rights: Uphold the human rights of all individuals and avoid association with violations.

4. ESG Considerations

  • Environmental responsibility: Consider the environmental impact of our actions and strive to minimise harm.

  • Social responsibility: Consider the social implications of our actions and strive to promote positive outcomes.

  • Governance: Maintain transparent and accountable governance practices.
    - We integrate ESG factors into our decision-making processes and stakeholder engagements.
     

5. Implementation and Enforcement

  • Training and education: Provide regular training and education on this Code of Ethics/Conduct.

  • Monitoring and review: Regularly monitor and review our compliance with this Code.

  • Disciplinary action: Take disciplinary action in cases of non-compliance.
    - Annual declarations: require annual ethics and compliance declarations from staff and key partners.
    - Leadership responsibility: Senior leadership is accountable for promoting and modeling ethical behavior.

6. Reporting Concerns

  • Reporting channels: Establish reporting channels for concerns or suspicions of unethical behavior.

  • Protection for whistleblowers: Protect individuals who report concerns or suspicions in good faith.
    - Reports may be submitted confidentially via dedicated hotlines, emails, or third-party systems.
    - Retaliation against whistleblowers is strictly prohibited and will lead to disciplinary action.
