OneWorld Sustainability Consult is committed to ensuring that our suppliers operate in a responsible and sustainable manner, aligning with our values and ESG principles. This policy outlines our approach to supplier management.
- This policy supports the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors across the supply chain and aligns with the Ghana Public Procurement Act, ILO standards, and client compliance requirements.

 

2. Scope

This policy applies to all suppliers who provide goods or services to OneWorld Sustainability Consult.
- This includes consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and service providers at all levels.

 

3. Principles

• ESG considerations: We consider ESG factors in our supplier selection and management processes.

• Responsible business practices: We expect our suppliers to operate in a responsible and sustainable manner.

• Transparency and accountability: We promote transparency and accountability in our supplier relationships.
  - Ethical conduct: suppliers are expected to adhere to anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and fair competition practices.
  - Inclusivity and local content: preference is given to suppliers that promote local employment, women-owned businesses, and marginalised groups.

• Supplier selection: We assess potential suppliers based on their ESG performance and alignment with our values.

• Due diligence: We conduct due diligence on suppliers to identify potential ESG risks.

• Contractual requirements: We include ESG requirements in contracts with suppliers.

• Monitoring and evaluation: We monitor and evaluate supplier performance on ESG issues.

• Capacity building: We provide capacity building and support to suppliers to improve their ESG performance.
  - Supplier code of conduct: All suppliers must sign and adhere to our supplier code of conduct, which outlines ethical, social, and environmental expectations.
  - Background checks: We perform background checks and compliance verification for high-risk suppliers.

• Social responsibility: We expect our suppliers to respect human rights and promote fair labor practices.

• Governance: We promote transparent and accountable governance practices among our suppliers.
  - Child and forced labour: suppliers must demonstrate zero tolerance for child labour and forced labour practices.
  - Health and safety: suppliers must comply with occupational health and safety standards and provide a safe working environment.

• Risk assessment: We assess ESG risks associated with our suppliers.

• Mitigation strategies: We develop mitigation strategies to address identified ESG risks.
  - Non-compliance response: if non-compliance is identified, corrective actions, timelines, and monitoring mechanisms will be put in place. Repeat or serious breaches may lead to termination of the engagement.
   

7. Continuous Improvement

• Regular review: We regularly review our supplier management procedures to ensure they remain effective.

• Stakeholder engagement: We engage with stakeholders, including suppliers, to identify opportunities for improvement.
  - Feedback mechanism: We provide channels for suppliers and stakeholders to raise concerns or suggest improvements.
